Lady Gaga- Best Voice of the generation?? WHAT?
Lady Gaga is a freak show! There is no better way to say it. She has achieved tremendous chart and commercial success since her debut and frankly I say more fire to her. Its no secret that the music industry today is in a crisis mode with even established artists struggling to get a silver certification from the RIAA (see Christina Aguliera- Bionic) but Gaga manages to defy that. Her music is far from revolutionary in my opinion but Gaga herself is, she wore a freaken dress made of meat for crying in a bucket. Now the way I see it, all of us have encountered a 'Lady Gaga' at some stage in our lives, be it at school or at work we all know a freak and some of us are Lady Gaga and always have been. The only difference is that Gaga has now sent out the message that we should not beat up freaks anymore, or throw stones at them when they walk by (oops!sorry) and that essentially we must embrace the freaks of the world! That is all good and well, and butchery sales will no doubt increase but hold the damn phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In her recent interview with Vogue magazine, the singer boldly declared that she has “one of the greatest voices in the industry” and that she is “one of the greatest songwriters” in the game today. Yes, like you I felt a little sick to my stomach when I read it. In terms of songwritng I can not really fault her, but that said I do not see her as great either! But now lets all get real for a darn minute, Gaga has the most average voice ever! Can I really be the only person who feels this way? Maybe I am losing my mind but something has to be said for raw natural talent and vocally Gaga does not possess a shred of it! As for comparisons of her and Christina Aguilera all I can say to the world is 'PASS THE DAMN CRACK PIPE AROUND'
